Today in Justin Timberlake news, it’s being reported that he and Jay-Z are planning a major stadium tour this summer. Both artists recently performed together at the Grammys, and before that Jay joined Timberlake during a show in New Orleans over the Super Bowl weekend. Looks like they liked each other’s company ’cause they’re hitting the road together.
Rolling Stone is also reporting that the tour currently includes 11 to 13 stadium dates. Another source mentioned that on the red carpet at the Grammys, Timberlake hinted that “big news” was one the way. He also assured that he was going on tour, but was shy to say more.
“We’re definitely going to go on tour . . . I don’t know how much I should say. . . . It’s going to be a lot of fun, I know that.”
Timberlake’s new album The 20/20 Experience is set to drop on March 19th. He mentioned in an interview with Rolling Stone that the record was done without telling anyone because they (he and Timbaland) didn’t want people to set expectations.
Sunday’s performance was Timberlake’s official return to the music scene. He was away for nearly seven years, focusing on his film career. But he’s back with full-force. And if his Grammy performance is any indication of what’s to come, then we shall expect to see Timberlake and Jay is some very fresh and very clean tuxes.
