Survivor Caramoan Episode 7 Recap

We begin our Survivor Caramoan Episode 7 recap on Night 16. The Bikal Tribe returns from Tribal Council after giving super-fan Matt the boot. Corrine talks with Michael about booting Phillip next. Phillip sees them chatting and tells Cochran that Corrine needs to go next. Will this conflict lead to more division within Bikal?

Day 17 and tree-mail arrives at Bikal. The message includes a passage about ″the strong carrying the weak.″ Phillip begins thumping his chest about how mighty he is. Cochran plays along as Phillip challenges the wimp to arm wrestle, but nerd-boy thinks Phillip is going insane.

The Reward Challenge is an old favorite. Each tribe is tethered to one another and all are carrying a 20lb sack of sand. The tribes begin on opposite sides of an oval race track off shore in shallow water. The tribe which overtakes the other wins a coffee feast with plenty of sugary treats. He-Man Phillip leads Bikal while Gota puts all of their Alpha males, like Erik, Malcolm, Reynold and Eddie, up front. Gota is barely trying and still quickly begins to close on Bikal. Phillip cannot run and is tired, probably from arm wrestling the Mighty Cochran. Dawn and Cochran bail out as they have useless and then Phillip stumbles and falls. Gota wins this one easily.

At the Survivor Coffee Shop, the Gota Tribe celebrates. Along with a variety of java, the tribe enjoys muffins and brownies and other goodies. Malcolm is high on caffeine and sugar as he tells all how much he loves them! Over at Bikal Beach, Phillip makes excuses for their loss. Corrine blames him and talks with Cochran about booting Phillip. Cochran wants to get rid o either Michael or Julia to ensure that the Fans are a minority if they suddenly merge. Meanwhile, Phillip chats up Julia and wants her to be his spy. She thinks Phillip is nuts. Back at Camp Gota, the Alpha males bond and discuss forming an alliance. Reynold likes Malcolm so much that he tells him about his hidden immunity idol. Malcolm is surprised and pleased, but does not share the fact that he, too, has an idol.

Day 19 and things are still messy at Bikal Beach. Julia tells Dawn about Phillip′s latest schemes, and then Dawn reports back to Phillip on what Julia told her. Phillip now wants Julia gone for betraying his trust. Its time for the Immunity Challenge. The event is another fetch this and do that type. Gota has a slight lead at first but Bikal catches up as Phillip and Reynold try grappling rings with keys attached to them. Reynold gets their five first and Gota wins immunity. Yawn!

Back at Bikal Beach, Phillip tells Cochran he threw the challenge. Cochran plays along but thinks Phillip has gone mad. The four Favorites plan to split their vote to ferret out any immunity idols, but Corrine does not think it is necessary. If somebody had one they would have played it last time. More importantly, she wants to protect Michael. Phillip will not listen and Corrine storms off.

At Tribal Council, Michael says that morale is pretty low. Julia frets over how the Favorites are in control. Both Phillip and Corrine air their opinions, amounting to how they both want a Fan booted but just different ones. Phillip does admit to being the cause of the loss but does not say he threw it deliberately. Michael just wishes the Favorites would trust him. Cochran points out the connection between Corrine and Michael. Julia and Michael are nervous about tonight′s vote.

Its time to vote! We do not see any but it comes down to a 3-3 tie between Julia and Michael, who voted against each other. So the Favorites cast a second ballot and this time its 4-0 against Julia. Corrine is satisfied that Michael was spared. So ends our Survivor Caramoan Episode 7 recap. Spoilers for next week show that The Merge takes place! We also see the return of the classic Survivor Crazy food challenge! Yum-O!
