She's less than a month away from her milestone 21st birthday and Selena Gomez gave her fans the inside scoop on how she's planning to celebrate.
On Thursday (May 30), the 20-year-old songstress co-hosted "New Music Live" in Toronto where she dished, "In America 21 is 'the age' so I am going to actually have a really big party I'm gonna invite my friends and family and I'm definitely going to celebrate."
Aside from plans for her upcoming big bash, Selena also dished on some of the details of her Stars Dance album. Explaining why she decided to do her first solo record, Gomez said, "[In the last year] I definitely went through a lot so I wanted to apply that to this album and I took my time with it. I wanted it to be a little more about me and the experiences that I had."
So when can fans get their hand on her newest tunes? When it was mentioned that the project would hit shelves on July 23rd, Selena quickly jumped in to add, "Not necessarily, [that's] not the exact date, but yes."
I went to the premiere on Tuesday and it was the coolest thing ever. First, the movie is AMAZING and Chris Evans is a superstar. Second, there were so many damn people there it was insane. I have been to movie premieres in New York before and they were nothing like this. I mean, they closed down Hollywood Boulevard. I would've taken photos to show you, but the invite said to leave phones in the car. But here's a photo of me in my cool Captain America 3D glasses:
(Sit down, stop jumping around, it's an awesome picture, I know. And the quality is amazing. It's not grainy or reddish... it's perfect.) (No, it's not.)
(And you can totally see the Captain America logo on the side of the glasses.) (No, you can't.)
Anyway, Captain America is pulling a strong 71% fresh rating on Rotten Tomatoes right now so GO SEE IT! IT'S FANTASTIC!
Some of you may not know the name Mara Wilson but I am sure you remember her from the film Mrs. Doubtfire. She was the cute little girl that played Robin Williams daughter but today she is all grown up and speaking out on why child stars “go crazy.”
Mara, who also starred in Matilda as a child, knows what it is like to spend your childhood in the spotlight and she was dishing all about it in a recent article for the website Cracked. In what is a funny, yet not so funny article if you know what I mean, Wilson lists out seven reasons why child stars go off the deep end. She even gives trainwreck Lindsay Lohan some advise.
The article is titles “7 Reasons Child Stars Go Crazy (An Insider’s Perspective)” is not only insightful but it is pretty funny. Yes the subject matter is serious but the way that Mara gets her points across is fabulous and proves that she is also one heck of a talented writer. Seriously her advice to Lilo to get out of the business is awesome and she does it in a witty/honest way. I could give you the play by play of the article but seriously you should just read it for yourself. I honestly thought it was freaking awesome, especially given the crazy antics of say Lilo and Amanda Bynes recently but that is of course just my two cents. I want to know what you think so once you read the article make sure to come back and give me your two cents.
The 25-year old actress, who lives in New York and is still in the biz, has managed to keep a low profile for years focusing on her life. It seems to be that she is focusing more on her writing than her acting and from what I read that is just fine.

The 13-second preview of Mike Posner-produced track shows off an edgier side of Bieber. By Jocelyn Vena
<P>Is it killing you that you have to wait until Monday to hear what <a href="/news/articles/1680882/justin-bieber-boyfriend-single-buzz.jhtml">"Boyfriend" sounds</a> like? Well, <a href="http://www.mtv.com/music/artist/bieber_justin/artist.jhtml">Justin Bieber</a> feels your pain and decided to release a teaser for the lead single off his <a href="/news/articles/1680373/justin-bieber-believe-album.jhtml">album, <i>Believe.</i></a> </P><P> </P><P>The 13-second, blink-and-you-might-miss-it tease is spare in terms of instruments, just bleeps and thumps, no singing or rapping. But it does play up Bieber's love for hip-hop; as it nears the end of the tease, a drum line-style beat kicks in. Come Monday, of course, the whole song will drop for Beliebers' listening pleasure. </P><P> </P><P><center><embed src="http://media.mtvnservices.com/mgid:uma:video:mtv.com:744691/cp~id%3D1680192%26vid%3D744688%26uri%3Dmgid%3Auma%3Avideo%3Amtv.com%3A744688" width="460" height="260" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" allowFullScreen="true" allowScriptAccess="always" base="."></embed></center> </P><P> </P><P>The video teaser also includes footage of Bieber in the studio, recording "Boyfriend," which was co-written and co-produced by Mike Posner. The clip premiered on Justin's <a href="http://www.justinbiebermusic.com/boyfriend" target="_blank">website</a> late Thursday night. </P><P> </P><P>"This record is different in a very good way," said producer/writer Mason Levy, who also worked on the song. "Definitely edgier, it's more grown-up, it's more developed and it's sexier. It's just like really dope. It's gonna definitely surprise people. People aren't really expecting that. They're going to like it." </P><P> </P><P>It's clear from the teaser that <a href="/news/articles/1681595/justin-bieber-boyfriend.jhtml">Bieber is using</a> influences from urban music and that he's looking to grow up sonically. The music in the new clip also seems to pay homage to Justin Timberlake, and even Chris Brown. Bieber has confirmed that he raps on the song. </P><P> </P><P>"It's more just the verses [that he's rapping on], and the rest he's singing," Levy told MTV News. "It's dope. It's hip-hop, but with great acoustic R&B, pop guitar with very hip-hop, clubby drums and really dope Justin Timberlake-y melodies." </P><P> </P><P><i>What do you think of "Boyfriend" so far? Sienna Millerlooked like she tried to play it low key while out and about with a friend in NYC today, but there’s no mistaking her casual and chic style. Even in a basic maxi length grey dress the actress looked amazing. I love her hair in those long loose waves too.
Sienna has been spending a lot of time in NYC lately because her fiance, Tom Sturridgehas been appearing in the play Orphans on Broadway. He’s even been nominated for a Tony Award for his performance! Sienna has said recently that her life is ’My life is this: my baby and my dog. My fiance is in a play at the moment, he’s busy working a lot..’ Well it looks like it’s definitely agreeing with her, Sienna looks amazing!
The duo sat down with MTV News in Berlin to discuss a pair of unlikely collaborations. By James Montgomery
<P>Theirs is a relationship that has spanned time and Twitter, <a href="https://twitter.com/#!/keshasuxx/status/77286418598211584" target="_blank">seafood</a> and <a href="https://twitter.com/#!/keshasuxx/status/157523381602889728" target="_blank">shaving</a>, but over the years, the unlikely bond between the <a href="http://www.mtv.com/music/artist/black_keys/artist.jhtml">Black Keys</a> and <a href="http://www.mtv.com/music/artist/id_3213641/artist.jhtml">Ke$ha</a> has grown to become something <i>more</i>: a genuine friendship, marked with the occasional trespassing charge. </P><P> </P><P></p><div class="player-placeholder right" title="Would The Black Keys Ever Collaborate With Ke$ha?" id="vid:731631.id:1678505" width="240" height="211"></div><p> </P><P> </P><P>"We're friends with her, we've known her since way before she was famous, before she was even a singer, I guess," Keys drummer Patrick Carney told MTV News. "When she was 16 years old, she used to sneak into our shows. We kind of became friends with her by kicking her out of our backstage room, over and over again. She actually has snuck into shows in L.A., San Diego, Coachella ..." </P><P> </P><P>"She snuck in and [got] kicked out of one show, like, <i>five</i> times," frontman Dan Auerbach added. "[She] snuck in through the kitchen. I don't know if she's such a big fan; she just likes breaking the rules." </P><P> </P><P>So, when MTV News sat down with the 'Keys in Berlin during the premiere of their <a href="/news/articles/1678662/black-keys-gold-on-the-ceiling-music-video.jhtml">"Gold on the Ceiling"</a> video, we had to ask if their friendship with Ke$ha would take the next step: an actual musical collaboration. It's not all that far-fetched, considering both Ke$h and Auerbach live in Nashville ("I see her every once in a while flying by in her T-Top [convertible]," Auerbach laughed), and recently, the glittery one has logged studio time with <a href="https://twitter.com/#!/keshasuxx/status/160846424609787906" target="_blank">the Flaming Lips</a>. So, could we see a team-up on the next Black Keys album? </P><P> </P><P>"I guess, I don't know," Carney said. "We don't really do that many collaborations, really." </P><P> </P><P>OK, so if a Ke$ha collabo isn't in the cards, just who would the 'Keys like to work with next? Well, as it turns out, they've got their eyes set on landing a very big star for the next record ... even if they mistakenly believe he's deceased. </P><P> </P><P>"We both want to work with Jim Nabors very badly, but apparently he's not with us anymore," Carney said. </P><P>Oh, <a href="http://www.jimnabors.com/" target="_blank">but he is.</a> Which means that, much like Nabors, the dream is alive. The Ke$ha collabo? Eh, probably not so much. </P><P> </P><P><i>Should the Black Keys hit the studio with Ke$ha? Leave your comment below!</i></p>
Frances set the feud in motion after she sent out a pretty hateful Tweet to Jenner, which was actually a response to a Tweet from the reality TV star. Hereis the message that Kendall sent that started this whole feud.
“just wish things could be easier man”
Well that did not sit too well with the daughter of Kurt Cobain and Courtney Love, who slammed Jenner in the below Tweet.
‘i’d rather be a scumbag than a f***ing idiot. Praise high IQ’s, good taste & awareness about the state of the world. oh ya, not to mention, CANCER, famine, poverty, draught, disease, natural disasters, Death. F***, Humans are so self involved. There are kids on earth abandoned&homeless who forcibly drink contaminated water because clean water isn’t accessible.’
Although it took Kendall some time too respons, she did in a number of Tweets that I think prov that she is a mature young woman.
‘I am aware that i am very privileged and blessed, and im thankful for that everyday, i know there are greater problems in the world. I pray for those people every night and give back as much as I can. So who are u to judge me?’ An individuals feelings are relative to their own enviroment, you don’t know me, you don’t even know what I was referring to.”
I have to say I like the way Jenner handled it. I mean I get why Cobain lashed out but she went overboard. Kendall like I said handled it with class and I personally have a new found respect for the 17-year old. It took Frances days to reply to Jenner’s Tweet but she finally did and it was a Tweet that could start the feud all over again.
“Everyone’s problems are relative and I in [no] way meant to demean you’re issues but publicly complaining about how hard your life is, is completely self serving. It’s asking for attention. If you are feeling like sh*t talk to someone who you trust as opposed to fishing for sympathy from your followers. I don’t know you nor do I think ur a bad person. I believe that venting about ones problems via the Internet is a blatant cry for attention. We all have experienced pain i try to deal w/ pain in a manner that pertains to my real life not in a way where strangers throw me a pity party. To each their own though man. It’s not my life, live it in whatever manner you want to.”
Kind of a good point from Cobain, although I don’t think she handled it in the most high class manner. Will this be the end of the Frances Bean Cobain and Kendall Jenner Twitter feud or is this war just getting started?
Lead Believe single dropped at midnight on Monday. By Jocelyn Vena
<P>Tween dream swagger is all over <a href="http://www.mtv.com/music/artist/bieber_justin/artist.jhtml">Justin Bieber</a>'s lead <i>Believe</i> single, <a href="/news/articles/1681595/justin-bieber-boyfriend.jhtml">"Boyfriend."</a> Taking several cues from Justin Timberlake's early post-'NSYNC work, the track amps up Bieber's credibility as a teen idol and remixes it with the type of production work longtime pop music fans can appreciate. </P><P> </P><P><center><embed src="http://media.mtvnservices.com/mgid:uma:video:mtv.com:752329/cp~vid%3D752329%26uri%3Dmgid%3Auma%3Avideo%3Amtv.com%3A752329" width="460" height="260" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" allowFullScreen="true" allowScriptAccess="always" base="."></embed></center> </P><P> </P><P>Lyrically, it sounds a bit silly at times (like when Bieber proposes he and his girl eat fondue by the fire), but Bieber's delivery of the lines proves that at 18, he's willing to take the steps to move forward in the world of pop. Sometimes it seems a little too similar to the way the other Justin delivers lines, but "Boyfriend," co-produced and co-written by Mike Posner, is light-years beyond the sugary sweet "Baby." </P><P> </P><P>The song opens pretty sparsely, with just a thumping beat, a "woo" noise and Bieber's sing-songy rap, before a guitar comes in as Bieber makes his plea to win a girl over. The chorus will have girls dancing around thanks to its bumping beat and chugging R&B-influenced instrumentation. He sings, "I could be a gentleman/ Everything you want/ If I was your boyfriend/ I'd never let you go/ I'd never let you go," before rapping, "Tell me what you like." </P><P> </P><P>Bieber uses some form of the word "swag" no fewer than four times on the track, including the somewhat perplexing line, "Swag, swag, swag on you." But regardless of what Bieber detractors might have to say, his Beliebers, who have aged right along with their idol, will appreciate his more grown-up sound on the record. </P><P> </P><P>The song officially dropped at midnight on Monday. <a href="/news/articles/1680373/justin-bieber-believe-album.jhtml"><i>Believe</i></a> will be released later this year. You no longer have to be an astronaut to go to space -- but you do need a good chunk of money. Angelina Jolie, Brad Pitt, Katy Perry and Tom Hanks will be among the first generation of "space tourists," paying $200,000 for a spot on one of Virgin Galactic's private space flights. CEO Richard Branson has been selling tickets to his zero-gravity experience since 2007, and according to New York magazine, those flights are happening very soon. It won't be long now before some of our favorite celebrities are flying the friendly stars -- and some fans are even paying big bucks (think: $1.5M) to ride alongside the likes of Leonardo DiCaprio. Which got us thinking -- wouldn't this be a convenient way to get rid of our least favorite celebrities? Here are 5 famous people we wouldn't mind sending to space -- permanently.
Gavin Rossdale and Gwen Stefani brought Kingston and Zuma to Joel Silver’s Memorial Day party on Monday (May 27). Zuma, 4, especially looked like he was having a blast running around on the beach.
According to US Weekly, the kids were treated to funny balloon sculptures like giant bananas, flower bracelets, and ice cream headbands.
There was also a big slide on the beach, as well as a station where guests could silk-screen a pair of sunglasses or a peace sign onto a custom T-shirt.
An onlooker told US that the No Doubt singer went over to her family to give them a bowl of cherries at one point. She and Rossdale had exchanged tender glances.
The source added, “Gavin shot her a really sweet look. And she looked back. It was a nice checking-in moment.”
We have yet to see what kind of summer movie fruits the latest collaboration from the father-son duo of Will and Jaden Smith, M. Night Shyamalan's "After Earth," will bear when it hits theaters this Friday (5/31), but the pair have already been doing some good work during their press tour in the UK.
During their recent stop to the "Graham Norton Show," Will and Jaden decided to do a little live collaboration on a classic from dad's past. When he last stopped by for "Men in Black III," Will performed the theme from "The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air," and it went viral. To top that last video, he brought his son into the fold, and the two brought down the house with another rendition of the theme.
Check out the video after the jump! (And stick around until the end for a little surprise!)
