LMAFO la 9 21 12 News Roundup: LMFAO Are Going On Hiatus, Nas and Ms. Lauryn Hill Are Going On Tour, And More

This week, the wild, party animal duo LMFAO announced that they were going to take some time off to focus on their own, individual projects. While the world mourned their split, Nas and Ms. Lauryn Hill announced that they would be hitting the road together. Talk about awesome news. And Justin Timberlake continues to tease us by saying things about his music career. All that and more below.

  • Justin Timberlake Will Make New Music… Eventually: Lately there’s been a lot of rumors about Justin Timberlake’s supposed return to music. It’s gotten so bad that even a well-known producer was saying that JT was prepping an album with Timbaland. But that’s just wishful thinking because Timberlake’s publicist has denied these rumors. In an interview, the singer/actor said that he’s not quite ready to return to music. He said, “For me, personally, when I do sit down and decide to do [an album], it’s just a special thing… I don’t know that I can pump them out ever year.” So, it looks like JT is going to make another album… someday. • Influential Hip-Hop MCs Are Hitting The Road Together: Nas and Ms. Lauryn Hill have announced their Life is  Good/Black Rage tour. The two MCs will start their 10-city run in late October. The tour kicks off in Dallas, Texas and ends in Oakland, California in mid-November. Tickets can be purchased starting Friday. Source: Billboard
  • Destiny’s Child Will Release Greatest Hits Album: Beyonce‘s former girl group Destiny’s Child will release their greatest hits collection Playlist in October. According to Billboard, the 14-track record will include their most memorable songs like “Say My Name,” “Independent Women, Part 1″ and “Bootylicious.”
  • LMFAO Break Up, Sort Of: The rambunctious duo LMFAO (you know the guys that brought you “Sexy And I Know It” and “Party Rock Anthem”) have announced that they are going on hiatus. Basically, they’re splitting up (not permanently though) to do their own thang. Stefan Kendl Gordy, a.k.a. Redfoo, told AP, “I feel like we’ve been doing this for so long, five or six years.” We’ll certainly miss their brilliant music… NOT! Source: A.V. Club
